Octobre U. C. 0079 - Janvier U. C. 0080 Le lieutenant Shiro Amada est transféré dans le sud-est de l'Asie. Sa mission est de diriger une petite armée de soldats. Celle-ci pilote un type particulier de Gundam : RX-79[G]. Pendant une intervention dans la jungle, il se bat contre Norris Packard, pilote de l'armée de Zeon et tombe amoureux d'Aina Sahalin, pilote chargée de tester les armes de Zeon dans le plus grand secret. Cette relation entraîne le doute au sein de la Fédération qui n'a plus confiance en Shiro. Il devra prouver sa loyauté sur le terrain ou mourir comme un traitre.
