Sur la planète Aqua (Mars) se trouve une ville du nom de Néo Vénézia, ville inondée d'eau où tous ses habitants ne peuvent se déplacer que par gondole ou à pied sollicitant les aides des "ondines" des gondolières professionnelles.Akari Mizunashi, une habitante de la planète Man-Home (Terre) rêve de devenir une gondolière professionnelle et travaille comme apprentie dans la société Aria. Elle rencontrera lors de ses voyages divers personnages avec qui elle scellera des amitiés.
